PNGs, JPGs and WebPs. Everything happens on this device: nothing is uploaded, saved or tracked, and it’s all cleared when you close or refresh the page.

Compression

Lossless keeps every pixel; the smallest saving.
Smaller cuts PNGs to 256 colours (looks the same for logos, icons and screenshots) and re-saves JPGs and WebPs at 85%.
Smallest cuts PNGs to 64 colours and re-saves at 70%. Best for flat graphics; soft shading can band, so check with Compare.
Photos and gradients that would show the cut keep full colour.

Maximum width

Half size suits anything saved at double size (Mac screenshots, @2x exports). Otherwise pick the width it will be shown at; 1600 or 1200 px fits most pages.

Your images

Click a thumbnail to compare it with the original. Metadata is removed, which is normal for web images; colours stay as they look now. If an image can’t be made smaller, you keep the original.
